Your Responsibilities:
- Assist the optometrist with patient exams and diagnostic testing
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for each visit
- Support contact lens fittings and dry eye treatments
- Help patients with eyeglass fittings and adjustments
- Educate patients about lens care and eyewear maintenance
- Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance
- Manage patient files and referrals
- Order lenses, frames, and clinic supplies
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Strong computer and EMR (electronic medical records) skills
- Customer service or optical/medical front desk experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic eye anatomy and optical terminology is an asset
- Previous experience in an optometry or optical office (8–10 years preferred), but training will be provided for the right motivated candidate
Education:
- College or University education preferred
