Everything You Need to Know About Seneca College’s Opticianry Program

Seneca College offers one of Canada’s most recognized Opticianry Diploma programs.

This two-year (four-semester) Ontario College Diploma is available in both full-time and part-time options, making it ideal for working professionals.

The program combines theory, clinical practice, and lab training, preparing students to fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, perform optical measurements, and collaborate with optometrists.

Students complete over 250 hours of practicum in real optical environments during their second year. Graduates are eligible to write the NACOR licensing exam and become Registered Opticians in Ontario.
