What Are the Admission Requirements for Seneca College’s Opticianry Program?

To apply for the Seneca Opticianry (OPTC) Diploma, students must meet specific academic requirements set by Seneca Polytechnic and the College of Opticians of Ontario.


 

Minimum Requirements:


 

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • Grade 12 English (ENG4C or ENG4U)
  • Grade 12 Math (MCT4C or MAP4C or similar)
  • Grade 11 or 12 Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

 

Additional consideration is given to applicants with health science or optical experience.

International students must also demonstrate English proficiency through IELTS or TOEFL scores.
