Getting Licensed After Seneca Opticianry
How to Become a Licensed Optician After Graduating from Seneca College
Graduates of Seneca’s Opticianry program are eligible to take the National Optical Sciences Examinations (NOSE) administered by NACOR — the final step toward becoming a Registered Optician in Canada.
The process involves:
- Completing the Seneca Opticianry diploma (NACOR-accredited)
- Gaining practical experience through clinical placements
- Passing both eyeglass and contact lens licensing exams
After licensing, graduates can work in optical stores, eye clinics, hospitals, or start their own optical business.
